I’m reluctant to set a page goal for your paper because it’s too easy to focus on that page count as a goal and forget the goal of your argument. I’m more concerned with you writing a solid, research-supported argument than aiming for a page count. As a frame of reference, I will expect your finished essay to be somewhere between 4page in MLA format (that means double-spaced). That will give you enough length to make a relatively complex argument that is focused and to the point. No rambling to fill pages just to get to a page count and a requirement to remain focused. (4 pts) The types of research you will need to do to do this project well—start this paragraph with: As I do my research, I will search for sources that help me _____[provide some criteria you will use to evaluate whether a source fits your topic, issue, and argument]___.
